iOS17が出る前に16の最新に

iOS17が2023/9/19 どうせ大した機能も増えないだろうし、増えたところで使わないだろうから17にするのはずっと先になるはず。

なので16の安定しているであろう最終版にしておきます。

別に今安定してるならそのままでもいいのでは？とも思うけど、バッテリーの状態の最大容量が2年くらい87%のままなので多分バグっててOS最新化すれば治るんじゃないかという期待があるのでこの際やっときます。

アプデ前にバックアップを取ろうにも、PC変えてメインマシンがubuntuになっちゃってるのでwineでwindows版でやってみます。
(最終的にうまく行かなくて諦めますが・・・)

が、

iTunes - Apple（日本）

からwindows版ダウンロードして実行するとwin10以降じゃないとダメというエラー。

無事インストーラ起動しました。
余計な自動設定は全部外し、言語は日本語に。

なんか色々エラー出てましたが無視。
バックアップ取れればいいだけなので気にしない。

起動して、規約に同意すると真っ黒なウィンドウが・・・。

どうも最新のiTunesは真っ黒になってしまうようなので古いのを入れてみます。

wineアンインストーラーを起動してitunesを削除。
itunes以外にもBonjourとかapple software updateとか余計なもの勝手に入れられてるので削除。

そして公式から古いバージョン探してきます。

に置いてある一つ前のバージョンらしきものは

ダウンロード - iTunes 12.4.3 for Windows (64 ビット — 旧型のビデオカード用)

なのでコレを入れてみます。

起動まではできましたが、iphoneと通信できないのと、またいつもの文字でない問題。

なんかバックアップ取るためだけにubuntuに入れるのめんどくさくなってきたので諦めます。
surface捨てたわけじゃなく残ってるし。

で、バックアップ取るところまではいいんだけど、うっかりiTunesからiPhoneアップデート選んじゃって、いつもどおりアップデート準備中でずっと待たされることに。

10分待っても変わらないのでiTunes強制終了からのダウンロード済みゴミデータ削除してiOS上からアップデート。

相変わらずAppleのWin製品はまともに使えなくてひどい。

で、バッテリーの状態見ても87%から変わらず。
朝100%でほとんど使わず画面オフ状態でも昼には70％くらいまで減ってるから絶対87%ってことはないと思うんだけどなあ。

slackのログみると2019/4/3にiPhone交換するって話でてきてるのでもう4年半近く使ってるXsMaxだけどいつまで使えるんだろうか。
